Mark is a humor writer who began his career in the San Francisco stand-up comedy scene alongside Dana Carvey and Robin Williams, appearing at the famous Comedy Store and on numerous TV talk shows. Since then, he has held positions as a nationally syndicated humor columnist for the Los Angeles Times, a sitcom and variety-show staff writer and producer for eight series (including Diff’rent Strokes and The Carol Burnett Show), and a writer for comedians including Jay Leno, Rodney Dangerfield and Jim Carrey. Mark has also contributed to Premiere Radio Syndicate and the Jack FM series of CBS Radio stations nationwide, as well as Showtime, the Playboy Channel, America Online and Weekly World News.

He is the author of 500 Dates: Dispatches from the Front Lines of the Online Dating Wars, a collection of humor essays on dating and romance.
