Peeps Is Dropping 6 Brand-New Flavors in 2022—and We Can’t Pick a Favorite

Updated: Mar. 21, 2023

It's time to keep an eye out for your favorite marshmallow chicks! But be prepared for a hunt, because some of the new flavors are Target and Walmart exclusives.

It may still be a little chilly outside, but we’re ready to begin our Easter traditions of filling our Easter basketspainting our eggs, and looking out for the Easter bunny. You know what that means—Peeps will be back on the shelf.

Easter candy is starting to hit the shelves and we couldn’t be more excited. While everyone loves chocolate bunnies, when we think about Easter, there’s only one thing on our minds: sugar-encrusted, marshmallowy Peeps.

Peeps is adding six new flavors to the roster

This year, our favorite marshmallow maker has dropped six delicious new flavors—and like always, they’re perfect for eating on their own or in one of these gooey marshmallow recipes.

  • Donut Shop Coffee Marshmallow Chicks
  • Donut Shop Coffee Caramel Mocha Filled Marshmallow Chicks
  • Sparkly Wild Berry Marshmallow Bunnies
  • Tropical Burst Marshmallow Chicks (only at Target)
  • Strawberry Marshmallow Chicks Dipped in Milk Chocolate (only at Target)
  • Cotton Candy Marshmallow Pop (only at Walmart)

Of course, the classic Peeps Chicks and Bunnies will return to shelves too, along with fan-favorite flavors like Chocolate Pudding and Party Cake.  There’s even a Hot Tamales-flavored Peep—if you haven’t tried those yet, definitely add ’em to your list!

Where can I find the new Peeps flavors?

The new flavors will be available at major retailers like Target and Walmart, and will likely trickle in closer to Easter. Keep in mind that some flavors are exclusive to  specific retailers—the Tropical Burst Chicks and the Strawberry Marshmallow Chicks Dipped in Chocolate will only be available at Target, while Cotton Candy Marshmallow Pop will only be available at Walmart.

You might want to start the hunt a little early, because these new Peeps flavors are sure to sell out early! While you munch on these peeps, you may want to try playing a few of these Easter games.
