As an astrologer and entertainment journalist, I often look to the stars for these sorts of explanations. Interestingly, the royals’ zodiac signs don’t just influence their personalities or even their day-to-day decisions about the monarchy. Many of their birth charts also predicted that they were destined for greatness.

King Charles: Scorpio
Birthdate: Nov. 14, 1948
Ruled by Pluto, the planet of destruction and rebirth, Scorpios have a deep understanding of the sacrifices required to lead and are keenly aware of power’s cyclical nature, as well as the necessity to embrace new beginnings. That encapsulates King Charles to a T. After Queen Elizabeth’s death, he made the strategic decision to connect her passing to his ascension—something that many other zodiac signs might have avoided. But Charles’s water-sign energy allowed him to skillfully handle people’s feelings around the passing of his mother and their doubts about him, guiding the country through their mourning and the monarchy’s transition.
Scorpios are also uniquely capable of transforming situations for the better, and Charles successfully navigated these tricky waters in the court of public opinion. His affair with Camilla Parker Bowles soured many people on him and even made them question his ability to lead. There are quite a few Cancers in the royal family, and Prince William is one of them. This sign is known for its warmth, openness and compassion, and these qualities have shaped his approach to life, family and royal duties. Cancers are often seen as protectors, and this trait could manifest in George’s dedication to his country.
