Stories About Fido and Fluffy’s Rescue, Inc.

This local 501(c)(3) rescues and re-homes dogs each week at their adoption events. These are animals that have been neglected, homeless, abused, or thrown out of their homes for no reason. The rescue’s president, Rose Rogala, has dedicated her time, money, love, and compassion to help each and every animal that comes to the rescue. Each week numerous animals from the Midwest, to the deep south, and all the way from Puerto Rico come in to be vetted, spayed or neutered, treated, and loved. This rescue does it all and with grace, love, hard work, and kindness. You never see a frown on any of the volunteers faces. It is a pleasure to spend a Saturday afternoon with them and all of the adoptable animals.

Every time you walk into an adoption event, you are greeted with a smile from Gail, a lovely Fido and Fluffy’s volunteer. Then, you have a meet and greet with the animal you inquired about, spending time with them one on one. If it’s a match, one of the volunteers (April, Brittany, Lexi, Tina, Taylor, Andrea, Megan, Molly, or Tina M.) will help you fill out an adoption application. Once you are approved by Rose, it’s time for your paperwork and adoption photo. Each rescue is spayed or neutered, and has all the appropriate shots, paperwork, baths, leash, collars, and other necessary medical supplies. They are very thorough and pleasant and kind. This is one of the kindest and friendliest rescues around. They really deserve the recognition!
